ED medicine prices in the Philippines
Sildenafil price in the Philippines
What sildenafil costs at Watsons, TGP, Southstar, Rose and others, per tablet, at 25, 50 and 100 mg, from brand to generic. Every price sourced and dated.
Short answer
Sildenafil in the Philippines costs from about fifty pesos to over a thousand pesos a tablet, depending on the brand and pharmacy. The cheapest verified 50 mg tablet is ₱49 (Erecto, TGP) and the cheapest 100 mg tablet is ₱51 (Spiagra, TGP). Branded sildenafil (Viagra) costs the most at every strength, and every version needs a prescription.
Sildenafil is the most widely stocked ED medicine in the Philippines, sold under at least ten brand names. This page lists every sildenafil price we have verified from a pharmacy's own listing, split into one table for each strength (25, 50 and 100 mg), so you can compare like with like. Each row shows the pharmacy, the date we checked it and a link to the source.
How much is sildenafil in the Philippines?
At the low end, under a hundred pesos a tablet; at the top, more than ten times that. The price depends far more on the brand than on the strength.
Sildenafil is the generic name of the active ingredient in Viagra. Since its patents expired, Philippine pharmacies have filled their shelves with generics from local and foreign makers: Erecto, Spiagra, Zilden, RiteMed, Tigerfil, Andros, Robust Plus and Kohagra, among others. All contain sildenafil citrate. All are prescription medicines.
Three things drive the price you see:
- Brand. Branded sildenafil (Viagra) is the original and the most expensive. Generics cost a fraction of it.
- Pharmacy. The same brand can differ by a few pesos between chains. Zilden 50 mg, for example, was listed at ₱95 at Watsons and ₱94.75 at Southstar Drug on the same day.
- Pack. Most chains sell ED tablets per piece. Robust Plus is a box of 4 at ₱299 for 4 tablets, which works out to ₱74.75 per tablet.

The cheapest verified sildenafil 50 mg tablet is ₱49 (Erecto, TGP). The most expensive is ₱915 (Viagra, Watsons), about 19 times as much.

50 mg is the strength with the most choice. Between the extremes, there is a cluster of generics under a hundred pesos (Tigerfil, Robust Plus, Zilden), RiteMed in the middle, and Andros, which is priced much closer to the original brand. The NowExpress figure is an online service's approximate price that includes a doctor's review, so it is not a like-for-like shelf price.

How much is sildenafil 25 mg in the Philippines?
Only two 25 mg rows are verified: ₱43 (Kohagra, Southstar Drug) and ₱683 (Viagra, Watsons). Kohagra was out of stock at Southstar when we checked, so the realistic option on most shelves may be the original brand.

The 25 mg strength exists mainly for men a doctor wants to start lower, for example older men or those on certain other medicines. Fewer generics are made at this strength, so the choice is thin.
Why is 100 mg sometimes cheaper than 50 mg?
Because generic prices follow the market, not the milligrams. Spiagra 100 mg at TGP costs about the same per tablet as Erecto 50 mg, and less than most 50 mg brands.
It is tempting to read that as "more medicine for the money". It is not a reason to choose a higher strength. Side effects such as headache, flushing, a blocked nose and indigestion become more common at higher strengths, and the right strength depends on your age, your kidney and liver function, and other medicines you take (some, including certain HIV and antifungal medicines, raise sildenafil levels in the blood). Your doctor decides the strength and how often you use it. Do not split or combine tablets unless your doctor or pharmacist has told you it is suitable for that product.
Is cheap sildenafil as good as Viagra?
A registered generic is the same medicine. It must contain the same active ingredient at the same strength and be shown to be bioequivalent, meaning it reaches the bloodstream in the same amount and at the same rate as the original.
The US FDA puts it plainly: approved generics "work in the same way" as their brand-name counterparts. Philippine registration follows the same principle. What differs between brands is the tablet's colour and shape, the inactive ingredients (fillers and coatings), the box and the price. A few men notice they tolerate one brand's tablet better than another's, usually because of the inactive ingredients; if that happens, tell your doctor.
The real quality risk is not generics; it is unregistered products. Pills sold on social media, marketplace listings and "herbal" capsules that claim to contain sildenafil have repeatedly been flagged by the FDA Philippines, and some contain unpredictable amounts of the drug or other substances. Read how to spot fake ED pills and check any brand on the FDA Philippines verification portal (verification.fda.gov.ph).
Which pharmacies stock sildenafil?
Watsons, TGP, Southstar Drug and Rose Pharmacy all list sildenafil, and MedsGo lists several brands online. Mercury Drug is the largest chain, but we have not yet verified a Mercury Drug price for any sildenafil product.
- Watsons: the widest range, from branded sildenafil (Viagra) to Zilden, RiteMed, Tigerfil, Andros and Robust Plus.
- TGP (The Generics Pharmacy): Erecto and Spiagra, the two lowest verified prices.
- Southstar Drug: Zilden and Kohagra.
- Rose Pharmacy: RiteMed sildenafil, with branches across Cebu and the Visayas.
- MedsGo: lists Erecto, Spiagra, Erecfil and Sildesaph, but pack sizes were unclear when we checked, so its prices are still being verified.
- Mercury Drug: we have no verified price yet. Ask your branch.
Stock varies by branch, especially outside Metro Manila. In a smaller town, the local TGP or Mercury branch may only carry one or two brands, so calling ahead helps. Every pharmacy listed here asks for a prescription.
Can you lower the cost of sildenafil further?
Usually, by asking for a generic. The Generics Act of 1988 (RA 6675) requires doctors to write the generic name on prescriptions, so a prescription for sildenafil can normally be filled with whichever registered brand you prefer at that strength.
Two other points help. First, Filipino senior citizens (60 and over, resident in the Philippines) are entitled by RA 9994 to a 20% reduction and VAT exemption on medicines for their own use; bring your OSCA ID and prescription. Second, compare monthly cost, not just tablet cost. If your doctor suggests tadalafil instead, the maths changes; the tadalafil price guide works through daily and on-demand use, and the sildenafil vs tadalafil guide explains how the two differ.
Do you need a prescription for sildenafil?
Yes. Sildenafil is a prescription medicine in the Philippines, and pharmacies must ask for a valid prescription before dispensing it. See is Viagra over the counter? for the rules and the legal routes to a prescription.
A doctor checks for the things that make sildenafil unsafe: nitrate medicines for chest pain, a recent heart attack or stroke, very low blood pressure and some eye conditions. They also decide the strength. For a full list of side effects, see ED medicine side effects and safety, and for how the medicine works, see the sildenafil guide.
Are these sildenafil prices up to date?
They are as current as the checked date on each row. Pharmacies change prices without notice, and in-store prices can differ from what is listed online.
We re-check listings regularly and only show a price we can link to a source. Rows we cannot confirm, such as MedsGo listings with unclear pack sizes, stay hidden until a person re-checks them. See all verified ED medicine prices and our price-checking method.
