Short answer

Tadalafil in the Philippines costs from under a hundred pesos to over a thousand pesos a tablet, depending on strength and brand. Tadalafil is the longer-acting of the two main ED medicines, and it is the only one also used as a low-strength daily tablet. That makes price comparison harder than with sildenafil: a single tablet price does not tell you what a month costs. This page lists every tadalafil price we have verified from a Philippine pharmacy's own listing, then works out monthly cost illustrations for daily and on-demand use.

How much is tadalafil in the Philippines?

At the low end, under a hundred pesos a tablet for a 2.5 mg generic; at the top, over a thousand pesos for branded 20 mg. Fewer tadalafil brands are on Philippine shelves than sildenafil brands, so the choice is narrower.

Tadalafil is the generic name of the active ingredient in Cialis. The verified rows below come from Watsons, Southstar Drug and Rose Pharmacy, for two brands: the original, tadalafil (Cialis), and the generic Torfil. Other tadalafil products are on the market, including Tadah Forte, Robust Max (Robust T) and Thafil, an orally dissolving film, but we have not been able to verify a clear per-tablet price for any of them yet. They will appear here once we can.

5 mg is the strength most often discussed for daily use, so the lack of a verified generic price matters. Torfil is listed at 2.5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg at Watsons. If your doctor suggests a daily plan, ask your pharmacist which 2.5 mg and 5 mg products they carry; stock changes, and we update this page when we can confirm a new listing.

What about tadalafil 2.5 mg and 10 mg?

Torfil is the only verified brand at both strengths: ₱95 for 2.5 mg and ₱220 for 10 mg, both at Watsons.

The 2.5 mg strength is used as a daily option for some men, and 10 mg as an on-demand option. Tadalafil tablets are made in four strengths (2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg), and which one you use, and how often, is your doctor's call.

Daily or on demand: what does a month of tadalafil cost?

It depends on the plan, and the plan is a medical decision. The figures below are cost illustrations only, built from verified per-tablet prices, so you can see how the maths works before you talk to your doctor.

Tadalafil can be used in two ways. On demand means a tablet before sexual activity, on the days you need it; its effect can last up to 36 hours, according to the NHS. Daily means a low-strength tablet every day, which keeps a steady level in the body so timing matters less. Daily tadalafil is also prescribed for urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate (BPH), which is common in older men. Read more in the daily tadalafil guide.

What the table shows:

  • Brand is the biggest driver. Branded daily 5 mg (Cialis) for a month costs more than generic 20 mg used 8 times a month.
  • Daily is not automatically cheaper or dearer. A month of generic 2.5 mg sits between generic 20 mg used 4 and 8 times a month.
  • Frequency matters more than you think. Doubling on-demand use doubles the cost; a daily plan costs the same whether or not you are sexually active that week.

None of this means one plan is right for you. A doctor weighs how often you expect to need it, how you respond, your blood pressure, your other medicines and any prostate symptoms. Prices are only one input.

Is Torfil as good as Cialis?

Torfil is a registered generic tadalafil, so it contains the same active ingredient. A generic must match the original's strength and be bioequivalent, meaning it reaches the bloodstream in the same amount and at the same rate.

The differences are the maker, the tablet's look, the inactive ingredients and the price. If you want to check that a brand is registered, search it on the FDA Philippines verification portal (verification.fda.gov.ph). The Cialis price guide compares the original with each generic in more detail.

Which pharmacies stock tadalafil?

Watsons stocks both tadalafil (Cialis) and Torfil, and Southstar Drug and Rose Pharmacy list tadalafil (Cialis). We have no verified Mercury Drug or TGP tadalafil price yet, and MedsGo listings were not clear enough to include.

  • Watsons: tadalafil (Cialis) 5 and 20 mg; Torfil 2.5, 10 and 20 mg.
  • Southstar Drug: tadalafil (Cialis) 20 mg.
  • Rose Pharmacy: tadalafil (Cialis) 20 mg, out of stock when we checked.
  • Mercury Drug, TGP, MedsGo: no verified tadalafil price yet. Ask your branch.

Branch stock varies widely, especially outside Metro Manila and Cebu. Every pharmacy here asks for a prescription. Avoid tadalafil sold through social media, marketplaces or as "herbal" capsules; the FDA Philippines has warned repeatedly about unregistered ED products. See how to spot fake ED pills.

What should you ask your doctor about cost?

Tell your doctor what you can realistically spend each month. Doctors in the Philippines prescribe by generic name, so cost is a fair part of the conversation, and it can shape which strength and plan they suggest within what is medically right for you.

Useful questions: whether a generic is suitable for you, whether a daily or on-demand plan fits how you live (for example if you work rotating BPO night shifts and timing is unpredictable), and how soon to review the plan if it is not working. Bring your other medicines, or a photo of their boxes, so the doctor can check for interactions.

Do you need a prescription for tadalafil?

Yes. Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in the Philippines, and pharmacies must see a valid prescription before dispensing it. See is Viagra over the counter? for the rules, which apply equally to tadalafil.

A doctor checks for nitrate medicines, recent heart attack or stroke, low blood pressure and alpha-blockers (often used for prostate symptoms), and decides the strength and whether a daily or on-demand plan suits you. For side effects, see ED medicine side effects and safety; for how it works, see the tadalafil guide.

Are these tadalafil prices up to date?

They are as current as the checked date on each row. Pharmacies change prices without notice, and the price at the counter can differ from the price online.

We only show a price we can link to a source, and we hide rows with unclear pack sizes until a person re-checks them. If you are comparing with sildenafil, see the sildenafil price guide, or go back to all ED medicine prices. Our process is set out in how we check prices.
