Privacy policy
What ED Philippines collects under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173): anonymous page views and three events. The ED self-check stores and sends nothing.
Short answer
We collect very little: anonymous, aggregate page views and three simple events, none of which contain health information. The ED self-check runs only in your browser and stores or sends nothing. We use no advertising cookies and have no sign-up or lead forms.
What law covers this site?
The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), which is enforced by the National Privacy Commission (NPC). The Act treats health information as sensitive personal information, which gets the strictest protection. Our approach is simple: we avoid collecting it at all.
What do we collect?
Aggregate page views. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits to pages. According to Vercel's documentation, it does not use third-party cookies; instead, visitors are identified by a hash created from the incoming request, and that session identifier is discarded after 24 hours. We see totals such as how many people viewed a page, the referring site, the country and the type of device. We cannot see who you are.
Three events, and only three:
- Consultation button click, recorded with the path of the page you clicked it on (for example, which article). Nothing else about you is attached.
- ED self-check completed, recorded as a single event with no score and no answers.
- Cost calculator used, recorded as a single event with no medicine, strength or amount attached.
That is the complete list. No event contains health data.
What happens with the ED self-check?
Our free ED self-check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and score:
- are not stored on your device or on any server,
- are not sent to us, to our analytics, or to any advertising or tracking pixel,
- disappear when you close or reload the page.
The only thing recorded is that someone, somewhere, completed the check.
Do you use cookies?
Not for advertising, and not for tracking you across sites. We do not run advertising pixels or remarketing tags.
One small preference is saved on your own device: if you choose a currency other than pesos (for example to view the prices page in US dollars), that choice is kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.
What about forms and email?
There are no sign-up, newsletter or lead forms on the site at present. If we add one in future, it will have a consent checkbox that is unticked by default and links to this policy, and it will say exactly what is collected and why. Nothing will be collected until you tick it.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and we do not add you to any list. Please do not send us personal medical details; we cannot give individual medical advice.
What happens when I click the consultation button?
The button takes you to a partner telehealth service, which is a separate organisation with its own privacy policy. We do not send it your answers to the self-check or any other health information. Anything you share with the telehealth service is governed by its policy, so read it before you start a consultation. How the site is funded is explained on our about page.
Who else sees data?
Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics described above. We do not sell, rent or share data with advertisers, data brokers, pharmacies or drug companies.
What are my rights?
Under RA 10173 you have the right to:
- be informed whether personal data about you is being processed,
- access that data,
- object to processing,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have data erased or blocked where the law allows,
- data portability,
- claim damages, and
- file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests will be about emails you have sent us. To make a request, write to hello@erectiledysfunctionphilippines.com. You can also contact the National Privacy Commission directly at privacy.gov.ph.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, we will update this page before the change goes live and change the review date at the top. Questions go to our contact page.
